Ashwani Lohani

Ashwani Lohani is a well-known tourism professional and an acclaimed bureaucrat. Mr. Lohani, a 1980-batch officer of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers, was until recently heading the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. He is credited with bringing the Madhya Pradesh state in the forefront of Indian tourism.

After obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the very prestigious Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering in 1980, Mr. Lohani joined Indian Railways (an Indian state-owned enterprise) which has one of the world's largest railway networks. He has many accolades from Government of India for his exemplary service.
