
Chief Executive Officer of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd.
Harry Hohmeister, who is 45, has been Chief Executive Officer of Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. since 1 July 2009. He is married, and has a son. After obtaining his German “Abitur” baccalaureate and completing his military service, he joined Lufthansa in 1985 and underwent management training for the next three years. He went on to hold a number of executive positions within the company, initially with co-responsibility for European fleet and schedule planning and development and, from 1992, helping to reorganise the company’s distribution and marketing division
as part of a broader corporate restructuring. He later went on to serve as Vice President Network Planning.
In February 2000 he moved to Thomas Cook Airlines, and held various executive management functions in Germany, Belgium and the UK over the following five years. He joined Swiss International Air Lines as a Member of the Management Board and Head of Network at the beginning of 2005. One year later, he additionally assumed overall charge of the company’s distribution activities.
